Do you have a passion for cooking and take pride in preparing delicious, high-quality meals? Hilton Garden Inn Asheville South is seeking a dependable, motivated, and team-oriented Line Cook to join our culinary team!
We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, pays attention to detail, and is committed to delivering an excellent dining experience for our guests. As a Line Cook, you will play an important role in our restaurant's daily operations, preparing meals for breakfast and dinner service while maintaining Hilton's standards for quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion guidelines, and Hilton brand standards.
Ensure all meals are prepared with consistency, quality, and attention to presentation.
Set up, organize, and properly stock kitchen stations before and during service.
Prepare ingredients, including washing, chopping, portioning, and other necessary food preparation.
Maintain efficient ticket times while ensuring food quality and accuracy.
Work collaboratively with the culinary and restaurant teams to provide a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment.
Follow proper food handling, storage, labeling, and FIFO inventory rotation procedures.
Monitor food temperatures and ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
Assist with inventory management, receiving deliveries, and stocking kitchen supplies.
Minimize food waste through proper preparation, portion control, and inventory practices.
Complete assigned opening, closing, and daily cleaning responsibilities.
Maintain a positive, professional attitude and contribute to a supportive team environment.
Qualifications
Previous cooking or restaurant kitchen experience preferred, with at least one year of experience strongly encouraged.
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment.
Ability to work efficiently and remain organized during busy meal periods.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and presentation.
Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently when needed.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and grow.
