Lead the Overnight Guest Experience!
Compensation: Starting at $17.00 per hour
As a Night Auditor, you are the face of the hotel overnight and serve as the Manager on Duty during your shift. You play a vital role in creating an exceptional guest experience by providing outstanding customer service while ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of the hotel.
This position combines front desk responsibilities with nightly accounting procedures, requiring excellent guest service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, organized, and committed to exceeding guest expectations.
Essential ResponsibilitiesGuest Service- Welcome guests with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Efficiently process guest arrivals and departures.
- Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Create and modify reservations.
- Assist guests with transportation arrangements and provide local recommendations.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to guest inquiries.
- Process all forms of payment accurately, including cash and credit cards.
- Maintain guest confidentiality at all times.
- Complete all nightly audit procedures and end-of-day (EOD) processes.
- Verify guest accounts and reconcile daily transactions.
- Balance cash drawers and prepare deposits.
- Run required daily reports and verify accuracy.
- Ensure all hotel departments have completed their required end-of-day tasks.
- Report any discrepancies to management.
- Serve as the overnight Manager on Duty.
- Monitor hotel safety and security throughout the shift.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies following hotel procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk, lobby, and public areas.
- Communicate important information through shift pass-ons and daily reports.
- Support other departments as needed to ensure exceptional guest service.
- Previous hotel front desk or Night Auditor experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic accounting and cash-handling experience preferred.
- Proficient computer and typing skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Dependable, trustworthy, and professional.
- Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Use computers, phones, and office equipment throughout the shift.
- Respond quickly to guest and emergency situations.
