We are looking for an enthusiastic, service driven, experienced Relief / Floater General Manager with an entrepreneurial spirit, to join our award winning team, managing and directing daily business operations at our award winning branded hotels. The Relief Floater General Manager, fills the role of the General Manager in their absence.
This position directly and influentially leads with confidence and conviction while remaining resilient and adaptable. As a leader, you deeply and genuinely strive to serve various hotel teams and our guests. You will also be a 'hard -worker' who assist in building the teams based on passion for hospitality, team collaboration, respect and the opportunity to grow, and be able to confidently deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives to all team members.
Must be very adaptable to various brand differentiators and unique value proposition of each hotel in our portfolio. Additionally, must be able to motivate and positively influence the associates, ensuring high team member engagement and high morale. A top candidate for this position must have proved strong leadership and organizational skills as well as previous experience as a relief/ floater General Manager

What you will be doing
- Fill the GM position in all aspects during their absence
- Function as the primary strategic leader of the hotel team with ability to inspire, direct and coach.
- Responsible for all aspects of the operation, including guest and associate satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, and sales and revenue generation.
- Management of day-to-day hotel operations, including Front Desk, Food and Beverage, Housekeeping and Maintenance, ensuring timely, genuine guest service and an exceptional experience.
- Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with company core values.
- Full oversight and control of team member training and all pertinant documentation
- Coordinate cross-utilization of resources across sister properties
- Drive the sales culture, work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to develop and execute sales/ marketing strategies and campaigns
- Analyze business results and work with the leadership team to develop effective pricing/ rate strategies for maximum revenue generation.
- Ensure F&B offering is executed in line with all brand and health and safety regulations
- Ensure brand standards are fully implemented and maintained while focusing on exceeding guest expectations, and communicating follow-up actions to the team as necessary
- Assist in creating the annual business plan in collaboration with appropriate department heads to ensure the smooth operations of the hotel, set financial goals, and plan expenses
- Foster an inclusive environment in which all associates can reach their full potential
- Be a leader and a mentor to management team, foster internal team growth
- Maintain excellent rankings on all websites and social media platforms. Encourage and respond to all guest feedback.
- Resolve customer issues with integrity and in line with brand promise.

The ideal candidate for this position
The ideal candidate will be a team player who has strong leadership skills, high energy and outstanding customer service skills. Adaptive and agile. Candidates applying for this position must maintain a friendly, positive and professional outlook in a fast-paced environment. Other skills include
- Prior experience in a similar role
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a General Manager in a similar branded hotel
- Strong experience in a branded hotel with F&B is not required but a plus
- Working knowledge of employment , health, safety and ABC laws and regulations to ensure full compliance
- Highly motivated, self-directed, with strong initiative and desire for success
- Exceptional customer service skills are required
- Technical awareness of the hotel, its operations, departments and job functions, business, and market
- Excellent communication and presentation skills required with ability to communicate across department lines orally and in writing
- Must be a leader, with a strong business management acumen and interpersonal skills
